Classic Hot Cocoa

Rich, creamy, and wonderfully comforting, this classic hot cocoa combines cocoa, sugar, and warm milk for a cozy cup of chocolatey goodness. Top with marshmallows or whipped cream for the perfect cold-weather treat.

Ingredients (Servings: 1)

1 Tbsp. Dutched Cocoa Powder
1 Tbsp. sugar of choice (plain or flavored)
1 cup milk, heated (but not boiled)

Steps

Mix cocoa and sugar together in a drinking mug.
Pour in about 2 Tbsp. of the hot milk and mix together to form a paste. (Doing this helps to dissolve the cocoa and results in a non-clumpy drink.)
Slowly pour in the rest of the milk and mix thoroughly. If needed, add more sugar to taste.
Recipe can be multiplied and made in a saucepan to serve more.
Serving Suggestions: Serve with whipped cream or marshmallows and shaved chocolate.
